oOh! appoints Out of Home leader Emma Hegg in new role

oOh!media continues to attract the industry’s leading talent, today announcing the appointment of Out of Home leader, Emma Hegg.

Joining in the newly created role of Group Director – Platforms, Hegg spent more than five years at dentsu where she managed a team of specialist Out of Home planners, leading commercial relationships, and building innovative products that leveraged technology and data, as well as sitting on the Outdoor Futures Council.

Hegg, who worked at oOh! for more than seven years prior to dentsu, further bolsters the product strategy team with responsibility for creating business models which align with agency data strategies. She will leverage her experience to connect agency and client segments as oOh! continues to implement its audience-led strategy into client focused platforms as part of the ongoing transformation to a digitally enabled media company. In addition, Hegg will also drive oOh!’s programmatic strategy.

She reports to Robbie Dery, Chief Commercial and Product Officer at oOh!, who said: “Emma is one of the most experienced Out of Home operators in media with a strong track record of driving business and client value across both agency and Out of Home. We continue to attract the smartest industry practitioners at a time when our industry is returning to growth and undergoing significant change and I’m delighted that someone with Emma’s knowledge and expertise has returned to oOh!”

Hegg added: “To be part of the biggest and best Out of Home media business, where I know there to be such amazing and ambitious talent, working toward a collective goal of sector growth, is somewhere I knew I had to be. From starting my career at Network Outdoor (now oOh!media) many years ago, it feels I’ve done a full circle to be coming back to oOh! The business has grown and changed so much; but still has the ambition to be even better. I can’t wait to join Robbie and the team to support the continued transformation of Out of Home within a business I admire so much.”

As part of oOh!’s product strategy team, Hegg will work closely alongside some of the industry’s leading and award-winning talent, including Bel Harper, Group Director – Product Strategy and Tara Coverdale, Group Director – Data and Insights.

Dery added: “As the business continues to grow, we will continue to bring the best people to oOh!, supporting our ambitious plans as Australia’s leading Out of Home Media company.”
