Melbourne’s newest commuter journey has officially opened and brands are lining up to make an impact, with oOh!media announcing its launch partners for the first stage of the Melbourne Metro Tunnel.

Some of Australia’s leading brands, including NAB, AGL, and Woolworths Group are debuting across 100% fully digital, state-of-the-art LED screens, marking a major milestone for Out of Home advertising in Melbourne.

The Metro Tunnel connects Sunbury in the west to Cranbourne and Pakenham in the southeast, through a fully integrated rail network across five uniquely designed, high-traffic stations: Arden, Parkville, State Library, Town Hall, and Anzac.

This latest rollout builds on oOh!’s expanding Melbourne network, combining unmatched brand visibility with high-impact advertising opportunities.

Mark Fairhurst, chief revenue officer, oOh!, said: “Our Melbourne network is delivering brands unparalleled opportunities to be seen, remembered, and truly connect with audiences. It’s fantastic to see NAB, AGL, and Woolworths Group leading the way as the first to advertise on our new Metro Tunnel assets. It follows the recent launch of the Bolte Bridge takeover and shows the incredible momentum we’re building. There’s never been a better time to be unmissable in Melbourne.”

Metro Tunnel joins oOh!’s existing CBD and suburban rail network, expanding reach and providing additional dynamic audience engagement opportunities for brands. At the same time, oOh! is delivering one of the city’s largest street furniture transformations, converting hundreds of classic panels to state-of-the-art LED screens. More than 70 new panels have been installed over the past three months with more scheduled to go live in 2026.

The Metro Tunnel will be fully integrated into Melbourne’s existing public transport network in early February next year and will accommodate more than 1,000 new weekly services.

oOh! secured the competitive Melbourne Metro Tunnel tender in 2024, further cementing its position as a leader in innovative Out of Home advertising solutions across Melbourne.
