We’re building a workplace that reflects the rich diversity of the communities in which we operate, and we’re proud to have an inclusive culture that supports this. Since oOh!’s first Diversity and Inclusion strategy in 2015, we’ve continued to broaden our initiatives and take action to create environments where everyone has an equal opportunity to thrive and feels safe and supported to be their authentic selves in the workplace.
Our current DEI strategy outlines our vision for a diverse and inclusive culture and identifies key areas of focus to help us achieve our vision and sets out the actions and initiatives to foster knowledge, understanding and actions to build a truly diverse, equitable and inclusive culture
Gender Equality
We understand that supporting gender equality extends beyond the workplace into the careers of our employees. To that point in 2024 we became launch partners of media industry pioneers The Village empowering parents in media to thrive personally and professionally.
We have an enduring and successful strategy in closing the gender pay gap. This was evidenced in the 2024 WGEA report which confirmed that oOh! Achieved a negative gender pay gap. As successful as this is, it illustrates that is effort outstanding to reach and maintain parity.
Our future initiatives will focus on increasing equal representation in traditionally male skewed roles. Making sure all opportunities are available and welcoming to people of all genders. In addition, we will look at extending our support and awareness and within our oOh! community of key issues relating to domestic and family violence.
LGBTQIA+
Our aspiration is to lead the OOH industry with our ongoing commitment to the LGBTQIA+ community.
Pride at oOh! is our vibrant community of LGBTQIA+ staff and allies who champion equality in and out of the workplace. We are proud partners of Pride in Diversity and are the Major Media Partner of the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras.
We mark important days with our team such as IDAHOBIT and Wear It Purple Day, and support the community on our network through our partnership with UnLtd.
Cultural Diversity
At oOh! we celebrate our culturally diverse workforce – with 30% of our employees having a cultural background other than Australian and NZ, including Māori and Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people.
From celebrating occasions across the cultural calendar such as Lunar New Year and Diwali, within the office, to providing our teams flexibility to spend days of significance with their loved ones, to training programs, we know how critical cultural safety and intelligence is for our people to thrive.
